Water carrier (Tulukhchi)

Water carrier in our days is declined occupation that became redundant following the advent of centralised water system. In Tbilisi, this profession was mostly taken up by the city’s Persian residents, thus demonstrating the physical strength needed for the job (the source of drinking water, Kura river, was separated from the city by a cliff)
