Pansheti is located in the Kazbegi Municipality at an altitude of 1,790 meters above sea level. The village is divided into Old and New Pansheti. Old Pansheti was located 300 meters north of the current settlement, and its ruins have survived to this day. One of the attractions of Pansheti are two towers, which were constructed in the 16th century. It is likely that these were signal structures, as suggested by the absence of windows in the tower walls.
Moreover a part of the Sno Gorge and the fortress of the same name, where similar structures have also been preserved, are well visible from the Pansheti towers. Pansheti also has a large cave complex consisting of three tiers. Two caves have been preserved in the first and second tiers, but the most remarkable caves are in the third tier – there is an impregnable cave, followed by a series of caverns consisting of five rooms, and ending with a collapsed part of four caves.
