Caucasians. Osetians holidays

The Ossetians are an indigenous group to the Central Caucasus.

They are descendants of the ancient Alans and speak the Ossetian language, which belongs to the Iranian group.

The traditional man’s costume is the cherkeska with gazyrs (cartridge loops), which emphasizes the stature of a warrior.

The women’s outfit was distinguished by its elegance, long sleeves, and an abundance of silver jewelry.

The musical culture is rich with heroic songs and dynamic dances (Simd — traditional Ossetian circle dance).
