The Bakhmaro resort is located in western Georgia, in Guria region.
This climatic resort is situated on the slopes of the Meskheti range, at an altitude of 1,950 m. above sea level, what makes it the highest mountain resort in Georgia.
The healing properties of Bakhmaro were first noticed in 1892 by a local doctor.
Due to air currents coming from the Black Sea, the resort’s climate combines features of both mountain and maritime, making it favorable for the treatment of closed forms of pulmonary tuberculosis.
